Optional pediatric first aid modules are:
Pediatric first aid topics, including eye injuries; fever; suspected abuse; and snake, spider, scorpion, tick, and marine animal bites and stings
Infant CPR with Mask.
The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid course is intended for all individuals involved in child care who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency involving a child, including:
child-care and foster-care workers
recreation and other community program staff
sports coaches and trainers
new parents, guardians, and other caretakers.
Course length can range from 2.5 hours to 8 hours, depending on needs and the modules taught, with skills practice (first aid) and skills testing (CPR & AED) by an American Heart Association instructor during the course.
Cancellations and Refunds:Any refunds will result in a $10 (ten-dollar) fee. Refunds will be given if notification is received at least three (3) working days prior to class. If you do not show up or are late for a class you have 2 months to re-take another course at no extra cost. Please give us notice if you plan on re-scheduling so that we can reserve you a seat.
